My career as a freelance writer began at El Editor, a bilingual newspaper in Lubbock, Texas, where I was attending law school. I wrote for El Editor and several magazines and websites during law school. I was also the editor of our law school's alumni magazine and a member of the law review staff.

Since graduating in May 2008, I have expanded my writing to include more law-related assignments. I write and edit for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in addition to my freelance work.
